Debbie

I am a 1982 graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University School of Dental Hygiene. I have many years experience, and have always made my patients’ comfort and  oral health needs my number one priority. Working with Dr. Micale and his amazing staff since 2011, I have gotten to know our patients and I’m always looking forward to seeing them at future visits. I was also fortunate enough to take over for Dodie, who had a very similar philosophy and took pride in her patient care as well.

 

When I am not working, I enjoy exercising, walking my dog, Honey, and spending time with my family, especially visiting my daughter Nicole and son Brian.

 

Dodie (Retired)

As a committed dental health professional, I have been a part of this office for 43 years and am known as Dodie by our patients. I am passionate about my profession and I consider each of the patients a member of my extended dental family. It has been a privilege and honor to help these individuals, including four generations of two families, maintain excellent oral health.

 

Born in New Jersey, I graduated from Jonathan Dayton Regional High School in Springfield. My college days were spent in West Virginia at West Liberty State University, where I graduated from the SW Glass Department of Dental Hygiene.

 

In 2011, I was chosen as one of eight dental hygienists nationwide to receive the Sunstar Award of Distinction for excellence in and dedication to the profession. I keep current on new technologies, techniques, treatments, and trends by attending continuing education courses and keeping active in the NJ State and National Dental Hygiene Associations.

 

In my free time, I am an active volunteer with the Friends Committee of the Visiting Nurses Association and Bonafides in the Basking Ridge area, raising funds for local charities and individuals in need.

Judi I.

I have worked as a Dental Assistant for over 25 years and have been with Dr. Micale and his staff since 1999. I received my Dental Radiology license at Middlesex County College. My goal at Dr. Micale’s office is to make every patient feel relaxed and comfortable. I strive to make myself available to all patients in order to address any concerns. I enjoy working as a team member in the office in order to provide each individual with the highest level of care.

 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my four daughters, and my grandchildren. I like to spend my time outside either walking or going to the beach, and I enjoy exercising.

 

 

Sandy

I am a Certified and Register Dental Assistant. I have been working in the field since 2005, and have been working with Dr. Micale and his staff for the over 10 years. I attended Dental Studies Institute in Fairfield, New Jersey. With many years of experience, it is my goal to make my patients as comfortable as possible, and address any concerns they may have.

 

When I’m not at work, I enjoy taking my dog, Gizzmo, for a walk. I also like to visit my daughter, Nicole, at the University of Alabama, and spending time with my son, JM, a student at NJIT.

 

Alex

I have over ten years experience in Morris County. I received my Dental Radiology license from the Dental Studies Institute of Fairfield. I really enjoy working with people and like to make them feel at home. Some of my best traits are that I am very upbeat and very approachable. Not to mention that I am very sensitive to our patient's needs and concerns which I then can communicate back to the dental team.

 

In my free time, I love spending time with my family who help me train for triathlons. I am a two time Ironman finisher as well as countless participationsin local races.

Maria I am the newest member of Dr. Micale's staff and I have more than 18 years experience as an administrative office assistant. I enjoy interacting with patients and helping them with any questions they have. Fun facts about me: I was born in Peru and moved to New Jersey when I was 12 years old. I have a teenage daughter that I love spending time with. I love to bake, dance and learn new languages.

"If you live in the Basking Ridge area then Dr. Micale is the ONLY dentist for you...

Like most normal people I've always dreaded that annual dentist appointment. What's to like, anyway? You sit in an uncomfortable chair with your mouth wide open. So vulnerable. You drool. You spit blood and gunk. You get lock jaw. You have cotton swabs shoved up your mouth. You attempt to respond to questions and end up sounding completely ridiculous. And you're told repeatedly that you don't floss enough.

So one day I decided to switch things up and made an appointment with Dr. Micale. Got tired of my old boring Basking Ridge dentist (he will go unnamed).

You know how usually you walk into any doctor's office and get the irritated, tired look by an angry woman named Wanda who says "name and insurance card" with total disdain in her eyes like you just slept with her husband? Then her eyes go back to her computer screen, where's she's most likely on http://People.com, but she keeps her hand outstretched impatiently waiting for you to find your insurance card? I hate that moment.

Not like that at Dr. Micale's place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by his sweet staff. They are probably the nicest and most supportive office staff I've ever visited. And as busy as they are, I kid you not, they treat you like you're the only patient in the world. One woman has been there for over 40 years - she is like the mother or grandmother you never had.

Then there's Dr. Micale. Finally...a dentist with good bedside manor. Once again, he enters the room and treats you like a human being, not just a head with bad teeth to fix. He's talkative, personable, knowledgeable and immediately makes you feel at ease in that chair. Also important to mention that the man knows how to give a good shot! I had a filling replaced, and I didn't feel a thing.

When it came time to talk teeth, they all gave me an education on gum disease, decay, long term care, and best teeth practices. I left in good spirits, smarter, healthier, and of course with my free toothbrush and floss in hand.

I will see them in six months and I'm already looking forward to it.

Dr. Micale has been my dentist for over 13 years. During this time in addition to my regular visits, I have had new crowns, others replaced, and an implant. I have been extremely pleased with the quality of the dental procedures and the friendly, caring staff who make the visits a comfortable experience.

I am a 32 year resident of Basking Ridge who has tried a number of area dentists over the years. I have never experience such a caring dentist as Dr. Micale. His technique is absolutely painless and he is on top of the latest advances in dentistry. He actually LISTENS to you. Dr. Micale also discusses the course of treatment sharing with you his reasons for the approach, and he ANSWERS all your questions. He does this in a friendly manner and with genuine concern for your wellbeing. In other words, he is a consummate professional who treats you like an adult and with respect. In a nutshell, if you have tried the rest, now try the BEST— Dr. Micale.
